Eve Salomon has worked with boards for over 20 years, initially in an executive capacity as a company secretary. She has been an NED on six diferent boards and chaired five. As a chair, she discovered that having a coaching relationship with her executive directors delivered the best results for the organisations. She is a strategic thinker and very solutions-focussed and knows how to plan for long-term results. She brings her training as a teacher in Mindfulness-in-3D to her work, bringing awareness and presence into everything she does.
My approach to coaching? I absolutely believe that we all have the answers to our challenges; I enjoy enabling people to get out of their own way to find their answers, and work out the best route to their future. At times I may have suggestions based on my own extensive experience, but I'll always ask first before offering any advice. That's when I become a mentor, as well as a coach.
How do I work with boards? I've found the best results come from leading from behind, encouraging board members to bring their whole selves to the table and be collaborative. The board has the answers, if they know how to work together and make the most of good governance structures and processes.
